javon hargrave

Javon Hargrave, born on February 7, 1993, in Salisbury, North Carolina, is a professional American football defensive tackle. He played college football at South Carolina State University, where he earned recognition for his performance. Hargrave was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

During his NFL career, Hargrave has played for the Pittsburgh Steelers (2016–2019), Philadelphia Eagles (2020–2022), and San Francisco 49ers (2023–2024). He has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice, in 2021 and 2023.

In the 2024 season, Hargrave suffered a torn right triceps, causing him to miss the final 14 games. On March 6, 2025, reports indicated that the San Francisco 49ers informed Hargrave of his impending release at the start of the new league year, making him a free agent.

Throughout his career, Hargrave has accumulated 380 total tackles and 45.5 sacks over 130 games, including 115 starts.
