On March 18, 2025, the Trump administration released approximately 80,000 pages of documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

This release fulfills the requirements of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, which mandated that all records pertaining to the assassination be made publicly available by October 26, 2017, unless continued withholding was justified on national security grounds.

The newly declassified documents primarily pertain to the 1964 Warren Commission investigation, which concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

While the majority of the content aligns with information previously known, some documents offer additional insights into Oswald’s activities, including his attempts to obtain a Soviet visa and interactions with KGB agents.

These records are now accessible through the National Archives’ website and at their facility in College Park, Maryland.
