Jordan Mason is an American football running back who, as of March 2025, plays for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. Born on May 24, 1999, in Gallatin, Tennessee, he stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 223 pounds. Mason played college football at Georgia Tech from 2017 to 2021, where he accumulated 2,349 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns over his career.
After going undrafted in 2022, Mason signed with the San Francisco 49ers and made the team’s 53-man roster. In the 2024 season, he stepped in as the starting running back following Christian McCaffrey’s injury, rushing for 789 yards and three touchdowns over six starts before his own season was cut short due to a high ankle sprain.
On March 15, 2025, the 49ers traded Mason to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick and a swap of 2025 draft picks, moving the 49ers up 27 spots in the fifth round. Mason signed a two-year contract with the Vikings, reportedly worth $7 million guaranteed, with the potential to reach $12 million.
