José Rances Suárez Quintero, known as José Suárez, is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on January 3, 1998, in Naguanagua, Venezuela, Suárez made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels on June 2, 2019.
Over his career, he has appeared in 99 MLB games, starting 61 of them, and has been considered roughly a league-average pitcher.
In March 2025, the Angels traded Suárez to the Braves in exchange for right-handed pitcher Ian Anderson. This move provides the Braves with a left-handed option in their pitching staff and offers Suárez an opportunity to contribute to a new team.
