Julian Reese is a 21-year-old American college basketball player who plays as a forward for the Maryland Terrapins in the Big Ten Conference. Standing 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 252 pounds, he hails from Baltimore, Maryland.

Reese began his college career at Maryland in the 2021–22 season, where he averaged 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He became a full-time starter in the 2022–23 season, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors after averaging 11.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.

In the 2023–24 season, he improved his performance, averaging 13.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game, which again earned him All-Big Ten Honorable Mention recognition.

Throughout the 2024–25 season, Reese continued to be a key player for the Terrapins. In the Big Ten Tournament semifinals on March 14, 2025, he contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds in a victory over Illinois. Earlier, on March 8, 2025, in his final home game, Reese recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds, leading Maryland to a 74-61 win against Northwestern.

Reese is also known for his family ties; his sister, Angel Reese, is a prominent player for the LSU Tigers women’s basketball team and has represented the U.S. women’s national basketball team.
