Standing 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 235 pounds, he hails from Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Roberts transferred to Killeen, Texas, after eighth grade to enhance his basketball prospects, where he attended Shoemaker High School.
His performance there led to a scholarship offer from Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson, and he committed to the Cougars in September 2018.

In the 2024-2025 season, he averaged 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, shooting 50.4% from the field. His consistent performance earned him First-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2025, following a Third-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2024. He also made the Big 12 All-Defensive Team in 2025.
Roberts has set multiple records at Houston, becoming the all-time winningest player with 117 career victories and surpassing 1,000 career points.
His leadership and resilience were evident when he returned from a sprained right ankle to play in the Cougars’ NCAA Tournament opener against SIU Edwardsville, contributing six points in 20 minutes.
As he approaches the end of his college career, Roberts reflects on his journey from the Virgin Islands to becoming a cornerstone of Houston basketball, aiming to be remembered as a dedicated and selfless teammate.
