Keenan Allen is an American professional football wide receiver currently a free agent. Born on April 27, 1992, in Greensboro, North Carolina, he played college football for the California Golden Bears from 2010 to 2012 before entering the NFL.
Allen was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the third round (76th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Over his 11-season career with the Chargers, he earned six Pro Bowl selections and was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2017. In 2024, Allen was traded to the Chicago Bears, where he contributed significantly, recording 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven touchdowns.
As of March 29, 2025, Allen is navigating the free agency market. Reports suggest that his options may be limited, with some speculating he might join a rebuilding AFC team. Additionally, Las Vegas Raiders fans have expressed interest in the possibility of Allen reuniting with their team, given his previous connection with Raiders’ wide receiver coach Chris Beatty.
Throughout his career, Allen has been known for his precise route-running, reliable hands, and consistent performance, solidifying his status as one of the premier wide receivers in the league.
