The Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball team concluded their 2024–2025 season with a narrow 80-79 overtime loss to the Kansas State Wildcats in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The game featured 21 lead changes, reflecting its competitive nature.

Georgia Amoore led Kentucky with 18 points, while Clara Strack contributed 22 points and eight rebounds. Kansas State’s Temira Poindexter scored a decisive 3-pointer with 59 seconds left in overtime to secure the win. ​

Under first-year head coach Kenny Brooks, the Wildcats finished the season with a 23-8 record and tied for fourth in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) with an 11-5 conference record.
