Lee Kang-in (이강인), born on February 19, 2001, in Incheon, South Korea, is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the South Korean national team.
Early Career
Lee began his football journey in South Korea, participating in the KBS N Sports reality show “Fly Shoot Dori” in 2007, which led to his enrollment in Incheon United’s youth academy. In 2011, he moved to Spain to join Valencia CF’s youth system. He made his professional debut for Valencia in 2018, becoming the youngest South Korean to debut professionally in Europe.
Stint at Mallorca
In August 2021, Lee transferred to RCD Mallorca, where he became a key player. Over two seasons, he made 66 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 7 assists.
Move to Paris Saint-Germain
In July 2023, Lee signed a five-year contract with PSG, becoming the first South Korean to play for the club. He scored his first goal for PSG in October 2023 against AC Milan.
International Career
Lee has been a standout performer for South Korea’s national teams. He won the Golden Ball at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where South Korea finished as runners-up. He made his senior debut in 2019 and represented South Korea in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
