Liev Schreiber is an American actor, director, and producer known for his versatile performances across film, television, and theater. Born on October 4, 1967, in San Francisco, California, he is the son of Heather Milgram, a painter, and Tell Carroll Schreiber, a stage actor and director. He has a half-brother, actor Pablo Schreiber.
Schreiber’s career spans various genres and mediums. He gained prominence for his role as Cotton Weary in the “Scream” film series (1996–2000). His other notable film appearances include “Ransom” (1996), “The Hurricane” (1999), “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” (2009), and “Spotlight” (2015). In addition to film, Schreiber has an extensive theater background, earning a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role in “Glengarry Glen Ross” (2005).
On television, he is best known for portraying the titular character in the Showtime drama series “Ray Donovan” (2013–2020), a role that earned him multiple award nominations.
