Loopy Godínez, born María Guadalupe Godínez González on September 6, 1993, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, is a professional mixed martial artist competing in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division. She holds dual citizenship in Mexico and Canada and trains out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Godínez began her MMA career in 2016 and turned professional in 2018. She gained attention for her rapid rise, including setting a record for the fastest turnaround in modern UFC history by fighting twice within seven days in 2021. Throughout her career, she has earned accolades such as two Performance of the Night awards and holds the record for the shortest span between three fights in modern UFC history (42 days). In 2023, she became the first woman to win four UFC fights in a single calendar year.
On March 29, 2025, at UFC on ESPN 64 in Mexico City, Godínez faced Julia Polastri in a thrilling bout. After a dominant first round, Polastri mounted a strong comeback in the third. Godínez ultimately secured a unanimous decision victory, breaking a two-fight losing streak.
