As of March 23, 2025, the LSU Tigers women’s basketball team is actively competing in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. They are hosting the first and second rounds at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on March 22 and 24, 2025.
In their opening game on March 22, LSU, seeded No. 3, faced the No. 14 seed San Diego State Aztecs. The game concluded with a 10-point victory for LSU, advancing them to the next round.
The team finished the regular season with a 28-5 record, securing a third-place finish in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Their performance earned them a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Flau’jae Johnson has emerged as a standout player for LSU, averaging 18.9 points per game this season. Beyond basketball, Johnson is also pursuing a music career, signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label, following in the footsteps of her late father, rapper Camoflauge.
Under the leadership of head coach Kim Mulkey, who guided the team to a national championship in 2023, LSU continues to be a dominant force in women’s basketball.
