Luke Loucks is an American basketball coach and former player, currently serving as the head men’s basketball coach at Florida State University (FSU). Born on April 1, 1990, in Clearwater, Florida, Loucks had a distinguished collegiate playing career at FSU from 2008 to 2012. He played a pivotal role in leading the Seminoles to their first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournament Championship in 2012 and holds the school’s record for most career games played.

After completing his college career, Loucks pursued professional basketball, playing internationally in countries such as Latvia, Cyprus, Belgium, and Germany, as well as in the NBA Development League. Transitioning to coaching, he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016 as a player development coach, contributing to two NBA championships during his tenure. In 2022, Loucks became an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings, where he served until his recent return to FSU.

In March 2025, Loucks accepted a five-year contract to become FSU’s head basketball coach, succeeding Leonard Hamilton. In his introductory press conference, Loucks emphasized his commitment to building upon FSU’s basketball legacy, focusing on team culture, competitiveness, and efficiency. He expressed enthusiasm for recruiting locally and utilizing the transfer portal to strengthen the team.
