Maggie Doogan is a standout junior forward for the University of Richmond’s women’s basketball team, the Richmond Spiders. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and hailing from Broomall, Pennsylvania, Doogan has made significant contributions to her team’s success.​

In the 2024-2025 season, she earned the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year award—the first such honor for the Spiders since 1990. She was also named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and the All-Academic Team.

Her exceptional performance included multiple Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors, notably after scoring a career-high 37 points against George Mason and achieving 33 points in a win at VCU. She surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 rebounds, joining an elite group in Spider women’s basketball history.

In the NCAA tournament, Doogan led the Spiders to a 74-49 victory over Georgia Tech, marking the program’s first March Madness win. She contributed 30 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists in that game. The team advanced to the second round but fell to top-seeded UCLA. ​

Beyond her athletic achievements, Doogan maintains an active presence on social media, sharing insights into her journey and team experiences. She celebrated her birthday during the tournament, highlighting the significance of the team’s March Madness run as a special gift.
