Michael Gallup, born on March 4, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American professional football wide receiver currently playing for the Washington Commanders in the NFL. He began his college career at Butler Community College before transferring to Colorado State University, where he earned consensus All-American honors in 2017.

In the 2018 NFL Draft, Gallup was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (81st overall). He played four seasons with the Cowboys, achieving a career-high 1,107 receiving yards in 2019. However, his performance declined following a torn ACL injury in 2021, leading to his release in 2024.

After signing a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in April 2024, Gallup unexpectedly retired in July 2024. He explained that he wasn’t in the right headspace after his departure from the Cowboys. In March 2025, Gallup came out of retirement and signed a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders, aiming to revive his NFL career.
