Michael Strahan, born on November 21, 1971, in Houston, Texas, is a distinguished American television host, journalist, and former professional football player. He gained prominence as a defensive end for the New York Giants in the NFL, playing his entire 15-year career with the team. Strahan was instrumental in the Giants’ victory in Super Bowl XLII and set a then-record 22.5 sacks in a single season.

Transitioning to media after retiring from football, Strahan co-hosted “Live! with Kelly and Michael” from 2012 to 2016, earning two Daytime Emmy Awards. He then joined “Good Morning America” full-time in 2016, contributing as a co-anchor. In addition to his roles in morning television, Strahan hosts the current incarnation of the Pyramid game show for ABC.

In recent years, Strahan has faced personal challenges, notably his daughter Isabella’s battle with a brain tumor. Her resilience has influenced Strahan’s perspective on balancing his professional commitments with family life, leading him to hint at retiring from television sooner than anticipated to prioritize his family.

As of March 2025, Strahan continues to contribute to “Good Morning America” and maintains his role on “Fox NFL Sunday.” He also announced his return as the host of ABC’s “The $100,000 Pyramid” for its 8th season, which premiered on March 9, 2025.
