The Monmouth Hawks men’s basketball team, representing Monmouth University in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I season, concluded their campaign with an overall record of 13–20 and a conference record of 10–8 in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Under the guidance of 14th-year head coach King Rice, they played their home games at the OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

In the CAA tournament, the Hawks entered as the sixth seed. They secured a victory against the 11th-seeded Hofstra in the second round but were narrowly defeated by the third-seeded Charleston in an overtime thriller during the quarterfinals.

The Monmouth Hawks women’s basketball team also represented Monmouth University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women’s basketball season. Led by first-year head coach Cait Wetmore, they played their home games at the OceanFirst Bank Center and competed in the CAA.

As of March 6, 2025, the women’s team held an overall record of 12–10, with a conference record of 7–4. This performance positioned them favorably within the CAA standings.
