Early Life and Career
Born in the Los Angeles area, Hefley began playing piano at age 4, later adding accordion and organ to her repertoire. She played the organ at Bellflower Baptist Church for over 55 years and also performed at venues like the Orange County Fair and in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe.
Dodgers Tenure
Hefley auditioned for the Dodgers’ organist position in 1988 and served until her retirement in 2015. Known for improvising based on in-game events, her repertoire included over 2,000 songs, blending pop, rock, and traditional tunes.
Passing
