The NCAA men’s and women’s ice hockey tournaments are currently underway, featuring intense competition as teams vie for national championships.
NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey:
The Wisconsin Badgers clinched the NCAA Women’s National Hockey Championship by defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 4-3 in a thrilling final. Kirsten Simms scored both the game-tying goal in the final 20 seconds and the game-winning goal in overtime. Wisconsin dominated the season with a 35-1-2 record, with MVP Casey O’Brien leading the charge.
NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey:
The 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament features 16 teams competing across four regional sites:
- Toledo Regional (Huntington Center, Toledo, Ohio):
- Boston University vs. Ohio State
- Cornell vs. Michigan State
- Fargo Regional (Scheels Arena, Fargo, North Dakota):
- Minnesota vs. UMass
- Minnesota State vs. Western Michigan
- Allentown Regional (PPL Center, Allentown, Pennsylvania):
- Maine vs. Penn State
- UConn vs. Quinnipiac
- Manchester Regional (SNHU Arena, Manchester, New Hampshire):
- Boston College vs. Providence
- Denver vs. Bentley
The tournament kicked off on March 27, with games scheduled through March 29. The winners from each regional will advance to the Frozen Four, set for April 10 and 12 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

- In the Toledo Regional, Cornell edged out Michigan State with a last-second goal, winning 4-3.
- The Minnesota Golden Gophers are set to face the UMass Minutemen in their opening game of the Fargo Regional tonight at 8:30 PM ET on ESPN2.
Upcoming Games:
- The Allentown Regional features UConn’s first NCAA tournament appearance against Quinnipiac on March 28 at 5 p.m. ET at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa., televised on ESPNU and ESPN+.
