Neville Gallimore, born on January 17, 1997, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a professional American football nose tackle currently playing for the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 307 pounds, Gallimore has had a dynamic career since his collegiate days at the University of Oklahoma.
Early Life and Education
Gallimore’s parents hail from Jamaica. He began his high school education at St. Patrick’s High School in Ottawa, where he played defensive tackle. Seeking more competitive play, he transferred to Canada Prep Academy in Welland, Ontario. In 2015, he became the first Canadian-born player invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, although he couldn’t participate due to a knee injury. He received 30 scholarship offers and committed to the University of Oklahoma, where he played college football from 2015 to 2019.
Professional Career
In the 2020 NFL Draft, Gallimore was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (82nd overall). He also was chosen by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the eighth round (71st overall) of the 2020 CFL Draft. He made his NFL debut in 2020, recording his first tackle in Week 5 against the New York Giants.
Over his tenure with the Cowboys, he played in 14 games in his rookie year, starting nine, and accumulated 26 tackles and 0.5 sacks. In 2021, he suffered a dislocated elbow but returned later that season. By 2023, after the Cowboys drafted Mazi Smith, Gallimore’s role diminished, leading to him playing as a backup in all 17 games.
In March 2024, Gallimore signed with the Miami Dolphins but was released in August. The Los Angeles Rams signed him shortly after, where he played in 14 games during the 2024 season, starting four. He notably recorded 1.5 sacks in the Wild Card Round against the Minnesota Vikings and added two sacks and a safety in the Divisional Round versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
As of March 12, 2025, Gallimore agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, aiming to bolster their defensive tackle depth.
