Nigella Lawson:

An English food writer and television cook, born on January 6, 1960, in London. She gained prominence with her debut cookbook, How to Eat, published in 1998, which sold over 300,000 copies. Following this success, she released How to Be a Domestic Goddess in 2000, winning the British Book Award for Author of the Year.

Nigella hosted several cooking shows, including Nigella Bites and Nigella Express, and has authored numerous cookbooks. In late 2024, she appeared in Greggs’ first-ever Christmas advertisement, promoting the bakery’s festive menu items.

Nigella sativa:

A flowering plant in the Ranunculaceae family, native to regions spanning Southern Europe, North Africa, South Asia, Southwest Asia, and the Middle East. Commonly known as black cumin, kalonji, or love-in-a-mist, its seeds are used as a spice in various cuisines, including South Asian, Middle Eastern, and Ethiopian.

These seeds are also attributed with potential health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and blood sugar-regulating properties.
