Norfolk State University (NSU) is a public historically Black university located in Norfolk, Virginia. Established in 1935, NSU offers a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate programs.

Academics: NSU provides 36 undergraduate degrees, 15 master’s degrees, and three doctoral programs. Notably, it offers Virginia’s only undergraduate degree in optical engineering.

Campus: The 134-acre campus features 31 buildings, including academic halls, research facilities, and student housing. Key facilities include the Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall, a 7,500-seat complex for health, physical education, and ROTC programs, and the Spartan Suites Apartments for student accommodation.
