Sony typically announces the PlayStation Plus Essential free games on the last Wednesday of the current month, with the games becoming available to download on the first Tuesday of the following month. Therefore, the official lineup for April 2025 is expected to be revealed on March 26, 2025, with the games available from April 1, 2025.
While the official lineup has not been confirmed, there is speculation about potential titles for April’s free games. Predictions include popular AAA titles like Hogwarts Legacy and Atomic Heart, as well as indie favorites such as Hitman 3 and The Outer Worlds. Additionally, Cult of the Lamb and Hades are among the rumored inclusions. However, it’s important to note that these are unconfirmed and should be taken with caution.
For subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers, two day-one games are confirmed for April 2025:
- Blue Prince: An adventure and puzzle game set in Monte Holly, where each day unveils a new mystery. Developed by Dogubomb, it’s scheduled for release on April 10, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation Plus from day one.
- Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2: The second part of the adventure game by Don’t Nod Montréal, continuing the story of four teenage girls on a journey of self-discovery. Releasing on April 15, 2025, it’s also confirmed for day-one availability on PlayStation Plus.
Please remember that while these titles are confirmed for higher-tier subscribers, the Essential tier’s free games for April 2025 remain speculative until the official announcement.
