Porsha Williams, born on June 22, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American television personality, singer, actress, and activist. She gained prominence as a cast member on Bravo’s reality series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA), initially joining in 2012 and returning in 2024 after a brief hiatus.
In the recent RHOA season 16 premiere, Williams opened up about her tumultuous divorce from Simon Guobadia, whom she married in November 2022. She described the experience as akin to “a death in the family,” highlighting challenges related to trust and financial transparency. Complicating matters, Guobadia was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during their divorce proceedings, adding strain to an already difficult situation.
Beyond her television career, Williams has been active in social justice causes. In July 2020, she was among 87 protesters arrested outside the Kentucky Attorney General’s residence while advocating for justice for Breonna Taylor. She has also authored a memoir titled “The Pursuit of Porsha,” published in 2021.
As of March 2025, Williams continues to navigate personal and professional challenges, with her journey unfolding both on-screen and in the public eye.
