“Raidou” refers to Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, the protagonist of the action role-playing game Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006, the game is set in a fictionalized version of 1931 Tokyo during the Taishō period. Players control Raidou, a young detective and Devil Summoner, as he investigates supernatural occurrences and battles demons to protect the city.
On March 27, 2025, Atlus announced RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, a remastered edition of the original game. This updated version features enhanced visuals, quality-of-life improvements, new voice acting, and an overhauled battle system. It’s scheduled for release on June 19, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
The remaster offers both veterans and newcomers a chance to experience Raidou’s thrilling detective story with modern enhancements while preserving the original’s charm and setting.
