Remy Cofield is a seasoned sports executive who recently transitioned from the NBA to collegiate athletics. After serving as the Director of Scouting for the Boston Celtics since 2020, he accepted the position of General Manager for the University of Arkansas’ athletic department in March 2025.
Cofield’s tenure with the Celtics began in 2013 as a Basketball Operations Assistant. He advanced to roles including College Scout and Director of Scouting.
He also served as the General Manager of the Maine Red Claws (now Maine Celtics), the team’s G-League affiliate, from 2019 to 2022.
A native of Newton, Massachusetts, Cofield played college basketball at the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2009. He appeared in 27 games, averaging 2.9 points per game.
He earned his MBA in Business Analytics from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business.
In his new role at Arkansas, Cofield is expected to enhance recruiting strategies and manage relationships in the transfer portal and NIL landscape, bringing valuable experience from his professional basketball background.
