Richard Sánchez Alcaraz is a professional football goalkeeper born on April 5, 1994, in Mission Hills, California, USA. He began his career with FC Dallas in 2011, becoming their sixth homegrown player.

Throughout his career, Sánchez has played for various clubs, including the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Tigres UANL, Chicago Fire, Sporting Kansas City, LA Galaxy, Hartford Athletic, Memphis 901, and currently, San Antonio FC. Internationally, he represented Mexico’s under-17 team in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the under-20 team in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Sánchez worked as the lead local anchor at Miami’s WSVN and later joined CNN, where he hosted “Rick’s List” and served as a contributor to programs like “Anderson Cooper 360°.” In October 2010, he was fired from CNN following controversial remarks. Since then, Sánchez has worked in various media roles, including as a columnist for Fox News Latino and hosting “The News with Rick Sanchez” on RT America.

He has also received awards such as the GMA Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song in 2011 for “The Power of One” with Israel Houghton.
