Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private institution located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. Established in 1921, the university is named after Robert Morris, a Founding Father known as the “financier of the American Revolution.”

As of the fall of 2021, RMU enrolled approximately 3,764 students, with 79.8% pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and 20.2% engaged in graduate studies.

The university offers a diverse range of academic programs, including over 60 bachelor’s degrees and 35 master’s and doctoral degrees.

RMU is also known for its vibrant athletic programs, with teams competing as the Robert Morris Colonials in various NCAA Division I sports. The UPMC Events Center, opened in May 2019, serves as the home for men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams.

In April 2022, Dr. Michelle L. Patrick became the ninth president of Robert Morris University, marking a significant milestone as the first woman to hold this position in the institution’s history.
