Sean Kingston, born Kisean Paul Anderson on February 3, 1990, in Miami, Florida, is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter known for blending reggae fusion, pop, R&B, and hip-hop styles. He gained prominence with his 2007 debut single, “Beautiful Girls,” which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His self-titled debut album, released that same year, peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 and included the top 40 hit “Take You There.” Kingston’s subsequent albums, “Tomorrow” (2009) and “Back 2 Life” (2013), featured singles like “Fire Burning” and “Beat It,” respectively. ​

In July 2024, Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were indicted on federal charges of wire fraud, accused of defrauding businesses of over $1 million through fraudulent transactions for luxury items. On March 28, 2025, they were found guilty on all charges. Kingston was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring, while Turner was taken into custody due to being deemed a flight risk. Sentencing is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
