Silent Hill f is an upcoming survival horror game developed by NeoBards Entertainment and published by Konami. Serving as the eighth main installment in the Silent Hill series, it marks the first mainline entry in over a decade, following Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012. Departing from the series’ traditional setting, Silent Hill f is set in 1960s rural Japan.
The game’s narrative follows a young girl navigating a small Japanese town and confronting various monsters, including a shambling woman and a spore-covered house. The development team emphasizes the use of reference photos and sounds to authentically recreate the rural setting and aims to explore psychological themes through the protagonist’s experiences.
Silent Hill f is being developed by NeoBards Entertainment, with direction by Al Yang, writing by Ryukishi07, and creature and character design by Japanese artist Kera. The game is produced by Motoi Okamoto, known for his previous work with Nintendo.
The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. As of now, a specific release date has not been announced.
