Matthew Stafford, the veteran quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, recently signed a restructured contract to remain with the team for his fifth season. This decision ended weeks of speculation about his future, during which other teams, including the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders, showed interest.
In the 2024 season, Stafford passed for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, leading the Rams to a playoff berth. They secured a 27–9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round but fell 28–22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round.
Looking ahead, the Rams have bolstered their roster by signing wide receiver Davante Adams. A friendly negotiation is expected to determine who will wear the number 17 jersey, as both Adams and incumbent player Puka Nacua are associated with that number.
