SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe on November 8, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri, is an American singer-songwriter renowned for her alternative R&B style that blends elements of hip-hop, soul, and minimalist R&B. She began her music career with self-released EPs like See.SZA.Run (2012) and S (2013), later signing with Top Dawg Entertainment and releasing her third EP, Z (2014).
Her debut studio album, Ctrl (2017), received critical acclaim and earned four Grammy nominations. Her follow-up album, SOS (2022), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and featured hits like “Kill Bill.”
