Talladega is a city in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of 15,861. Located approximately 50 miles east of Birmingham, Talladega serves as the county seat.
The city is renowned for the Talladega Superspeedway, a 2.66-mile (4.28 km) NASCAR oval track that hosts two major NASCAR Cup Series races annually. The track is known for its high-speed races and has been a staple in the NASCAR calendar since its opening in 1969.
