Taylor Jenkins is an American professional basketball coach, born on September 12, 1984, in Arlington, Texas. He gained prominence as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. Jenkins began his coaching career with the Austin Toros, the San Antonio Spurs’ D-League affiliate, before serving assistant coaching roles with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. In June 2019, he became the head coach of the Grizzlies, leading them to multiple playoff appearances and earning accolades such as the NBA D-League Championship in 2012.
On March 28, 2025, the Grizzlies parted ways with Jenkins despite holding a 44-29 record and securing the fifth seed in the Western Conference. The decision surprised many, including Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. Assistant coach Tuomas Iisalo has been appointed as the interim head coach.
