Texas Christian University (TCU) has active men’s and women’s basketball programs competing in the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference.
Men’s Basketball:
The TCU Horned Frogs men’s basketball team, under ninth-year head coach Jamie Dixon, concluded the 2024–25 season with a 16–14 overall record and a 9–10 mark in Big 12 play. They played their home games at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Despite a competitive season, the team did not receive an invitation to the NCAA tournament.
Women’s Basketball:
The TCU Horned Frogs women’s basketball team achieved significant success in the 2024–25 season. They secured their first Big 12 Tournament Championship by defeating Baylor 64–59 in the final game. Key players Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince were instrumental in the victory. Van Lith was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament, leading all scorers with 20 points, while Prince contributed a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. This championship earned TCU an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, marking their first appearance since 2010.
