The TCU Horned Frogs women’s basketball team, seeded second in the NCAA Tournament, recently secured a 73-51 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in the first round. This win marks TCU’s first NCAA Tournament victory in 19 years.
Madison Conner led the team with 23 points, while Sedona Prince contributed a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Hailey Van Lith added 13 points and set a TCU single-season assist record. The team will face Louisville in the second round, aiming for their first Sweet 16 appearance.
Under the guidance of head coach Mark Campbell, who signed a contract extension through 2030, the Horned Frogs have demonstrated remarkable improvement this season. They clinched the Big 12 Conference title with a 16-2 record, finishing the regular season with an overall record of 32-3.
