Rayford “Trae” Young, born on September 19, 1998, in Lubbock, Texas, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. He played one season of college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2017–2018, leading the nation in both points and assists per game. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the fifth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and was subsequently traded to the Hawks.
