Early Life and Education
Sherfield attended Danville High School, where he excelled as both a quarterback and defensive back, earning a four-star recruit rating as a safety. He chose to play college football at Vanderbilt University over offers from other institutions. During his time with the Vanderbilt Commodores, he played in 48 games over four seasons, recording 136 receptions for 1,869 yards and nine touchdowns.
Professional Career
After going undrafted in 2018, Sherfield signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where he played for three seasons (2018–2020). He then had stints with the San Francisco 49ers (2021), Miami Dolphins (2022), and Buffalo Bills (2023). In March 2024, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
