Tristan Thompson is a Canadian-American professional basketball player known for his role as a power forward/center in the NBA. Born on March 13, 1991, in Brampton, Canada, Thompson has had a notable career across several teams.

Professional Career:

Cleveland Cavaliers (2011–2020): Thompson was selected fourth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA Draft, becoming the highest-drafted Canadian at that time. He played a pivotal role in the Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA Championship victory.

Boston Celtics (2020–2021): In November 2020, Thompson signed a two-year, $19 million contract with the Boston Celtics, where he averaged 7.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game during the 2020–21 season.

Sacramento Kings (2021–2022): Thompson was traded to the Sacramento Kings in August 2021 as part of a three-team deal. He appeared in 30 games, averaging 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls (2022): In February 2022, Thompson was traded to the Indiana Pacers and shortly after signed with the Chicago Bulls, contributing in 23 games for the remainder of the season.

Los Angeles Lakers (2023): Thompson joined the Los Angeles Lakers in April 2023 for their playoff run, reuniting with former teammate LeBron James.

Return to Cleveland (2023–Present): In September 2023, Thompson returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers on a one-year contract. However, in January 2024, he faced a 25-game suspension without pay after testing positive for banned substances. He re-signed with the Cavaliers in September 2024.

Personal Life:

Thompson has been in an on-and-off relationship with Khloé Kardashian. They share two children: a daughter, True, born in April 2018, and a son, Tatum, born in July 2022 via surrogate. Despite their separation in 2021, they continue to co-parent their children. Recently, it was revealed that their daughter, True, believes her parents are married, a misconception Khloé has chosen not to correct at this time to preserve her daughter’s innocence
