Tyreek Hill, born on March 1, 1994, in Pearson, Georgia, is a professional American football wide receiver currently playing for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. During his tenure with the Chiefs, Hill earned a Super Bowl title in Super Bowl LIV.
In March 2022, Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins, where he continued to showcase his exceptional skills as a wide receiver. Throughout his career, he has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times (2016–2023) and has been named to the All-Pro Team on five occasions (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023).
The 2024 season presented challenges for Hill and the Dolphins. Despite playing through a wrist injury sustained during an August practice, Hill managed to record 81 receptions for 959 yards over 17 games, marking his lowest production since his rookie year. The Dolphins concluded the season with an 8-9 record, missing the playoffs.
Following the season’s end, Hill expressed frustration over missing the playoffs and hinted at a potential departure from the Dolphins. He acknowledged the impact of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s injuries on their season and emphasized doing what’s best for his career and family.
However, in February 2025, Hill publicly apologized to Tagovailoa for his earlier comments and expressed his desire to remain with the Dolphins for the upcoming season.
In late February 2025, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced that Hill underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his left wrist. The injury, sustained in August, had affected Hill throughout the season. He is expected to be ready for training camp, with rehabilitation progressing as planned.
As of March 11, 2025, Tyreek Hill remains a pivotal player for the Miami Dolphins, with both the team and fans anticipating his return to peak performance in the upcoming season.
