The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a prestigious public research university located in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1919, it is the second-oldest of the ten-campus University of California system.

  • Women’s Basketball: In the first round of the Women’s NCAA Spokane 1 Region, the No. 1 seed UCLA Bruins secured an 84-46 victory over the 16th-seeded Southern team. Lauren Betts led the team with 14 points, and five other players scored in double figures.
  • Student Demonstrations: A group of 35 pro-Palestinian students, faculty, legal observers, journalists, and activists have filed a lawsuit against UCLA, alleging inadequate protection during demonstrations against the Israel-Hamas conflict.
