The University of Southern California (USC) Trojans women’s basketball team has experienced significant success in recent seasons. In the 2024–25 season, their first in the Big Ten Conference, they achieved a 28–3 record, finishing as Big Ten regular-season champions and earning a No. 2 ranking nationally. They advanced to the NCAA Tournament but fell to Connecticut in the Elite Eight.

A standout player, JuJu Watkins, made headlines by scoring 40 points in a game against UCLA, surpassing Caitlin Clark’s record for points by a freshman and sophomore. However, USC narrowly lost to UCLA 72-67 in the Big Ten Tournament final.

Looking ahead, the 2025–26 season brings renewed optimism. USC has secured commitments from top recruits, including Vivian Iwuchukwu, the No. 47 overall recruit, and Kennedy Smith, ranked 6th nationally. These additions are expected to bolster the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
