Vincent Robinson, a redshirt freshman at North Carolina State University (NC State), made history by winning the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championship in the 125-pound weight class. Robinson, seeded fourth, secured a 2-1 overtime victory against seventh-seeded Troy Spratley of Oklahoma State in the final match.
Throughout the 2024-2025 season, Robinson compiled a 24-3 record, earning All-American honors for the first time in his career. His impressive performance included a third-place finish at the Franklin & Marshall Open during his redshirt season.
Prior to joining NC State, Robinson achieved significant success at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Illinois. He was a two-time state runner-up, a two-time conference champion, and secured fifth place at the 2021 Fargo Nationals.
Robinson’s journey from a standout high school wrestler to a national champion exemplifies his dedication and skill in the sport.
