Virginia Tech’s basketball teams have recently concluded their 2024–2025 seasons.
Men’s Basketball:
The Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball team finished the regular season with a 13–18 overall record and a 6–14 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They entered the 2025 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament as the No. 10 seed. In their first-round game on March 11, 2025, the Hokies defeated the No. 15 seed California Golden Bears 71–68. They continued their tournament run on March 12, 2025, facing the No. 7 seed Stanford Cardinal at 7 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Women’s Basketball:
The Virginia Tech Hokies women’s basketball team concluded their regular season with an 18–11 overall record and a 9–9 conference record in the ACC. They participated in the 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament held from March 5 to 9, 2025, at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The tournament concluded with Notre Dame claiming the championship.
