Walker Buehler is an American professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Boston Red Sox. Born on July 28, 1994, in Lexington, Kentucky, he attended Henry Clay High School and later Vanderbilt University, where he was part of the 2014 College World Series championship team. The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him 24th overall in the 2015 MLB Draft. ​

Buehler made his MLB debut with the Dodgers in 2017 and earned All-Star honors in 2019 and 2021. He was instrumental in the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series victory, earning the series-clinching save. After missing the entire 2023 season due to Tommy John surgery, Buehler returned to pitch in May 2024. Despite a challenging regular season, he delivered strong performances in the postseason, contributing to another World Series title for the Dodgers.

In December 2024, Buehler signed a one-year, $21.05 million contract with the Red Sox, aiming to revitalize his career. He made his debut for Boston on March 29, 2025, against the Texas Rangers. In that game, he pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out three.

Buehler’s career statistics include a win-loss record of 47–22, an earned run average (ERA) of 3.38, and 754 strikeouts over 713.2 innings pitched.
