Walter Clayton Jr. is an American college basketball player who plays as a guard for the Florida Gators in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Born on March 6, 2003, in Lake Wales, Florida, he stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds.
Clayton began his collegiate career at Iona College, where he earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Year honors in 2023. He transferred to the University of Florida in 2023.
In his first season with the Gators, Clayton averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, earning second-team All-SEC honors and a spot on the SEC All-Tournament team. His 633 points during the 2023-2024 season ranked as the fifth-highest single-season total in Florida’s history.
