In their first matchup since Jimmy Butler’s trade to the Golden State Warriors, the Miami Heat secured a decisive 112-86 victory. Butler, who spent five and a half seasons with Miami, returned to Kaseya Center and received a mixed reception from fans, including a tribute video before the game.
However, his on-court performance was limited, as he scored 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting, contributing six rebounds and two assists.
Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 27 points and eight rebounds, while Tyler Herro added 20 points and seven assists. Alec Burks contributed 18 points, and rookie Kel’el Ware recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Heat’s defense was effective, limiting the Warriors to 39.8% shooting from the field and forcing multiple turnovers. Notably, the Warriors played without Stephen Curry, who was sidelined due to a pelvic contusion.
