Western Kentucky University (WKU) basketball has a proud tradition, especially in the NCAA tournament. The Hilltoppers, as the team is known, have seen significant success over the years, with a number of NCAA Tournament appearances and notable players.
Historically, WKU has been a solid mid-major program. They’ve produced several NBA players, including legends like Hot Rod Hundley and Chris Marcus. The team has also had some impressive runs in March Madness, with the most notable coming in 1971 when they made it all the way to the Final Four.
In recent years, the Hilltoppers have remained competitive in Conference USA, frequently contending for the conference title and appearing in postseason play.
