The Wichita State Shockers men’s basketball team, representing Wichita State University in Kansas, concluded their 2024–2025 season with a 19–15 overall record and an 8–10 mark in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), placing them eighth in the conference standings.

In the AAC tournament quarterfinals on March 14, 2025, the Shockers narrowly lost to the No. 16 Memphis Tigers, 83–80. Memphis’s PJ Haggerty led all scorers with 42 points, while Wichita State’s Bijan Cortes scored 19 points in the effort.

Following the conference tournament, the Shockers received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). In their opening game on March 18, 2025, they faced the Oklahoma State Cowboys and were defeated 89–79. Oklahoma State’s Bryce Thompson led his team with 23 points.

Throughout their history, the Shockers have achieved significant milestones, including two Final Four appearances in 1965 and 2013, and multiple Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight berths.

They play their home games at Charles Koch Arena, affectionately known as “The Roundhouse,” which has been their venue since 1953.
