Will Wade, born on November 26, 1982, is an American college basketball coach currently serving as the head men’s basketball coach at North Carolina State University (NC State). He began his head coaching career at Chattanooga (2013–2015), followed by stints at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) (2015–2017), Louisiana State University (LSU) (2017–2022), and McNeese State University (2023–2025).
At McNeese State, Wade achieved significant success, leading the team to both the Southland Conference regular season and tournament championships in his first season.
This accomplishment secured the Cowboys’ first NCAA Tournament appearance in 22 years. In the 2025 NCAA Tournament, McNeese State secured their first tournament win in program history before their run ended in the Round of 32 against Purdue.
